On Monday Justin and I celebrated our 1st anniversary. It's hard to believe it's been 1 year already! We started an anniversary tradition of listing in a journal all of the major events that happened during the year. Each anniversary we plan to get out that same journal and jot down things from the past year. It will be neat to look back over the years and see all of the things that have happened, whether they are good things or challenges we've faced. Since Monday we've been in Galena; we decided to take a trip there for a few days since we've never been. It's actually a cute little town. We went to Chestnut Mtn. and rode on the Alpine slide and ski lift, and we checked out all the little shops on Main St. downtown. Grant Park is nice; we even played a game of Scrabble on the park bench. It's just been a nice, relaxing few days away swimming, shopping, learning some history, and taking in the sights. Oh, I should mention, too, that we have eaten at some wonderful places like Vinny Venucchi's and Benjamin's. If you've never been to Galena, you should check it out sometime. It's not much of a place for the kiddos, but if you just want to get away it's nice. It would also be a neat place to come for a girls' weekend or something. Anyway...the rest of the week is crazy. Thursday we're going to a Chiefs' game. Dad's work gets tickets for the employees and their families each summer and we get to have dinner and watch the game. So that should be fun. Then Friday is work again, and Sunday is when VBS begins. The summer is totally flying by, that's for sure! :)
Well, I'll try to post some trip pics soon. There are definitely some interesting ones of me on the ski lift...I don't like heights! Eek! :)

4th of July weekend!
Well, we had a wonderful 4th of July weekend up at my in-laws' home. We went up last Thursday and got to spend time with Mom Morrow, Caleb, Caitlin, Chad, Emma, and baby Ellie. It was especially great getting to meet little Ellie for the first time (note the update below). Mom was housesitting for a coupel of friends so we got to go swimming in their nice in-groung pool several times. It was just like being on vacation b/c we weren't on any sort of a schedule and could just hang out and relax. We also got to visit a lot at Cait & Chad's on the 4th, which was nice. It was also great getting to go visit Ellie in the NICU. I got to hold her and feed her, too. :) Now we're back home & trying to keep up with Charlie & Lexi. Things are going well. It's been a busy week. We're getting ready to go up to Galena next Monday for our anniversary.
Ellie is doing well. She had surgery on Monday to put a shunt in, in order to stop the swelling in her head. It's working wonderfully, and she is doing really well! Thank you, Lord!
Well, that's about it for now. I'll update more later and try to post some new pics of Emma & Ellie pretty soon.
